Gonggong’s After the Flood — Stillness After the Storm. This 10mm bracelet is handcrafted from incense-ash liuli, a traditional glaze-glass material, with handwoven cord. Its design draws inspiration from Gonggong, the water deity whose collision with Mount Buzhou brought chaos to heaven and earth. Instead of focusing on the moment of destruction, the bracelet explores the silence that follows and the difficult work of beginning again.

Incense-Ash Liuli — Memory Held in Glass. The dark liuli beads give the bracelet a deep, restrained appearance. Their subtle variations in tone and internal texture create a sense of sediment, smoke, and time. Because the material is handcrafted, small differences can appear from bead to bead. Those variations make each bracelet individual rather than perfectly uniform.

After the Flood — A New Order Takes Shape. Gonggong’s myth contains enormous movement, but upheaval cannot continue forever. Eventually, the waters settle and a changed world must find structure again. The bracelet uses repeated round beads to express that return to order. Meanwhile, the dark palette keeps the design reflective rather than dramatic.

Inspired by Gonggong. This bracelet interprets the myth as a story about consequence and renewal. Gonggong represents the force that breaks an existing structure. The settled liuli represents the awareness that follows. Together, those ideas suggest that rebuilding should involve more than simply restoring the past.
