Handmade Agate Jewelry from Fuxin, China

Yun Agate began with a shared interest in natural agate, handcrafted jewelry and the stories of Chinese mythology. We are Manuel and Tinka, the founders of Yun Agate. We met during our university years and later built the brand and this independent website ourselves.

Today, Yun Agate is based in Fuxin, Liaoning, China. Our jewelry is designed, handcrafted, assembled and carved in Fuxin, where agate craftsmanship is an important part of the local culture.

We work with natural agate and carefully selected complementary materials. Much of the moss agate we use comes from Fuxin, while other agates and materials may come from places including Yunnan, Brazil and Malaysia, depending on the individual design. Natural patterns, colors and inclusions vary from stone to stone, which means each finished piece has its own character.

From Natural Stone to Finished Jewelry

Each Yun Agate piece begins with the material itself. Selection, cutting, grinding, polishing, carving, weaving and assembly are all part of the process behind the finished jewelry and collectibles we offer.

Because we work with natural materials and hand-finished details, we do not expect every piece to look perfectly identical. Small differences in pattern, translucency, color and texture are part of what makes natural agate distinctive.

Our goal is simple: to make jewelry that feels considered, personal and worth keeping—not mass-produced pieces designed to look exactly the same.

Chinese Mythology, Reinterpreted Through Jewelry

Chinese mythology is another important part of Yun Agate. Collections inspired by Pangu, Gonggong, Jingwei, Chang’e, Xingtian, Nüwa and Shennong allow us to explore stories of creation, resilience, restoration, conflict and transformation through color, material and form.

These gemstone and color associations are Yun Agate’s contemporary design interpretations. We do not present them as ancient historical associations or claim that the jewelry carries supernatural powers. For us, mythology provides a story and a creative starting point for each collection.

Made to Fit You

Our bracelets are not treated as one-size-fits-all. When ordering a bracelet, we ask you to provide your wrist size so the piece can be made or adjusted for a more suitable fit.
