In the beginning of Chinese mythology, there was nothing but chaos.

Heaven and earth were still joined together, enclosed within a vast cosmic egg. From this formless world emerged Pangu, the primordial creator.

When Pangu awakened, he raised his great axe and separated heaven from earth. The lighter elements rose to form the sky, while the heavier elements settled below. For countless years, Pangu stood between them, holding the two realms apart as the world slowly took shape around him.

When his task was finally complete, Pangu became part of the world he had created. His breath became the wind, his voice became thunder, his blood became rivers, and his body became mountains and land. His story remains one of the most enduring Chinese creation myths—a legend of transformation, balance, and the courage to bring order from chaos.
