Shennong’s Herbal Way Jadeite Necklace with Red Agate (8mm)

Shennong’s Herbal Way — A Journey Through Green Stone. This 8mm necklace combines natural dry green jade, red agate, and handwoven cord. Its design takes inspiration from Shennong, the Divine Farmer of Chinese mythology. He traveled through mountains and fields, studying plants through direct experience. The necklace turns that spirit of inquiry into a wearable composition of deep green and vivid red.

Dry Green Jade — The Landscape of Exploration. The green jade forms the main body of the design. Its dense color recalls forests, fertile earth, and the unknown places Shennong entered in search of knowledge. Natural differences in tone and texture give every bead its own character. Because of those variations, each necklace develops a slightly different landscape.

Red Agate — Discoveries Along the Path. Red agate appears as a bright contrast within the darker green composition. In the design, these warm accents represent moments of discovery after patient observation. They also add visual movement and keep the necklace from feeling too uniform. Meanwhile, the handwoven cord connects the materials with a more traditional handcrafted detail.

Inspired by Shennong. Rather than presenting the myth literally, this necklace focuses on Shennong’s curiosity, perseverance, and respect for the natural world. Green jade represents the vast field of knowledge still waiting to be explored. Red agate represents the insight that appears through action and experience. Together, they create a simple story of learning by doing.

Handcrafted by Yun Agate. We select, arrange, string, and braid each necklace by hand in Fuxin, China. Its 8mm beads offer a noticeable presence while remaining suitable for everyday styling.
