Circle of Abundance uses a circular composition to create a compact and balanced piece of agate art. The form allows the eye to move around the carving while keeping the natural stone visible throughout the design.
Agate provides its own pattern and color variation. These natural features do not repeat in exactly the same way from one stone to another. The artisan uses them as part of the finished composition rather than treating them as imperfections.
Hand carving defines the shape and creates changes in depth across the piece. Polishing then reveals more of the agate’s internal appearance. Different viewing angles may highlight different areas of pattern or translucency.
